The main Common App essay restricts you to words. I think one essay in this entire book was words and below. Most were in the range, and two or three were well into the thousands. Because of this, it can't offer any valid advice to seniors who are trying to pack something meaningful into less than a page like me. Another, but far lesser, problem, is the inconsistency of reviews.
